1. Sat night DH and I went to a Dinner Theater show with his work. The cost to us was $25, a 1/4 of the $100 we would normally pay for 2 people to go. It had a medical theme and was called EI.They had songs from every genre: popular music, country, rock, Weird Al and even the mom song! It’s not something I would bring kids to, but it was very funny.
This is Part 2 to the mom song, but it’s not quite as good.
2. On Sunday afternoon I chatted with my mom over MSN while she was in Boston. I think I’ve talked to her on MSN once before, and that time she was in the same house. She doesn’t use it on a regular basis
It was fun.
3. Sunday afternoon was the last Mooseheads game of the regular season. Normally I go with my husband, mom and brother (and the baby of course) but this time it was just baby and I going. My mom and brother were a little to far away to make it back in time and DH couldn’t get off work. Our friends across the street came too (all except the daughter who got stuck working!) and sat down with me in the extra seats. Because it was the last game of the regular season and also a redemption night we gave a bunch of people tickets-but we still had some left over. So I gave away the extras to people who didn’t have tickets for the game yet.

4.On Monday I was busy trying to clean up because we were having some people coming over that night. The place was a MESS. I’d been wondering why it had been seeming worse lately, like I was having even more trouble keeping up with the housework than usual and now I think it’s because the baby now has a greater need for attention a lot of the time. It makes it hard to even do dishes sometimes.
5. Mon night we had my half brother and the kids over. They each took a turn holding the hamster. She was very well behaved until my half brother got her, and then she decided to poop on him. It was really quite funny, we were all laughing, even the baby. After that he was telling the kids, “there are two individuals in this house that aren’t potty trained.” I pointed out that the other one wears a diaper and so to have it happen with him would be highly unlikely
.
So, God decided to humor us all. We were giving the baby a bath and all of a sudden he tumbled out ( we were all right there but these things happen sometimes ) and started crying. My half brother scooped him right up and sat him on his lap, only to find out that he had just pooped in the tub and now it was on half brother’s pants. He was very good about it and I’m sure the kids had a good story to tell
6. St Patty’s Day

I was chatting with my friend over facebook while I ate my lunch and looking at her status I figured she could use a hug and offered my services since I was coming in town for class anyway.
She said she did and could I meet her at the Grawood (Dal’s bar) for a green beer. So I said sure. We didn’t drink, just talked and danced. Mainly let off a little steam. The place was packed and it was such a feel good atmosphere, I was already having a good day but it was the sort of place that would have made even a bad day good. It was all good music pretty much right up until we left. The all-guy band finished the Irish rendition of Abba’s Gimme A Man After Midnight that they were playing when we came in and then took a 15 min break. But the Great Big Sea started up and I was fine without them (the band.)
As usual I had my camera and snapped shots every chance I got (in between dancing). While we were waiting for our coats this (cute) guy came up to us and asked if I was with a newspaper (presumably documenting the event.) I asked why and he said he was looking for a contact to get an in to a job that would pay him to take pictures. I didn’t have that but I could sympathize with the idea as that’s something I’d LOVE to do too. It was just a really cool thing to have happen.
So, unexpectedly I Got to really Irish it up for a whole 45 min
(Not bad when you have a baby and can’t go out on the town for St Patty’s!)

7. Baby is getting very mobile. Today at my mom’s house he crawled all over the house, including up a few stairs (supervised). He was also in hot pursuit of the 2 cats who were not so thrilled about his new increased mobility. He also surprised me by being able to grab the dish of peas at the far end of his giant high chair tray… Umm.

I got a good chuckle out of the poop story–especially knowing the participants!
Most of the others I’ve already read elsewhere–but I think it is worth mentioning that not only was that only about the second time I’ve ever used MSM, I was using it from a laptop–which I’ve never used before–and a MacBook–which I’ve never used before. I think I did very well!
Are you going to link these to the Original Seven Quick Takes?
Love from your Mother–
Bruce promised to read it the other night….He still hasn’t posted a comment!
