1. Fri night we had our out inspection for the apartment. We signed a form and it was officially no longer ours! It was bitter sweet because it’s been a headache the last few months, but it was also still our first home.
2. Saturday morning Mom and I had our final SDU class, Layout and Design before graduating from the Scrapbooking program.
The table, hard at work, this is how much we spread out
This is my mom’s page and guess who the little girl is ![]()

3. Sat evening I said goodbye to my beloved 93 Ford Probe. This was my first car but we got the Yaris after we got married so we could road trip to the states (the probe was not reliable enough) and ever since it had been sitting in my mom’s driveway. She was very happy to have it gone. DH put an ad on kijiji, ‘free car with problems’. He got several replies and the guy who took it is going to fix it up proper. So much better than having it towed and scrapped for parts.
These photos are from when I first got it, back in 2005.

4. Sun we said goodbye to our pastor of at least 2 years. He was the pastor when I started attending church regularly in 2005 (wow this Sept will be 4 years!). I think it will take me a while to warm up to the replacement, he doesn’t se4em to have the charisma or the warmth in his voice that Father John did.
5. Mon Morning I found out that our hamster Timbit had died.
DH put off cleaning the cage all last week when he was off and as a result she never got her food replenished. I am not too sad about it actually, and I think we’ll wait till the fall to get another, because between us we’ll probably be away a lot this summer.
6. Some summer fun
Last week we had a nice sunny day and we decided to test out baby’s new wading pool. At first he wasn’t a big fan but after DH added warm water (it had been too cold but we thought it was ok cause we misunderstood the indicator thing) he seemed quite content. But he often crawled out and over to DH to be picked up.

Last weekend DSIL and I took the baby to the multicultural festival. None of us had ever been but we’d heard good things so decided to check it out. We parked downtown and took the ferry across. It was a fun afternoon but the festival was actually a bit of a disappointment. We didn’t stay too long and instead spent the rest of the afternoon along the waterfront going to the playground and the Wave.
7. Since they don’t let you take pictures (or give you a picture) at the hospitals here anymore I have decided to scan a copy of my ultrasound paperwork for the baby book instead. hehehe. I was given a copy of the previous one with the baby to take to my OB doctor, and I have a copy of the one for this baby now too. (I guess I won’t be able to get a copy of the 32 week one….o well)
ETA: Camera- it’s been over 2 weeks and already too long with my good camera sent away. The little dinky camera frustrates me because it doesn’t do what I want it to. However, we picked up my camera today! On the one hand the warranty isn’t extended for another year for the repairs, and if it goes in say another year that will be some $200 out of pocket, but on the other hand they fixed the viewfinder (I was told would not be under warranty and so explicitly said don’t fix it) free of charge.
Expect the caliber of the blog photos to go back UP
