1. It’s now Sunday, 4 days since God came hurtling back into my life, and I am pleased to say that while the last few days have been far from wonderful, that feeling has not gone away, and I’m sort of looking forward to church today, to actually feel something again for a change.
Here’s the photos from the sunshower:

2. DFIL has broken his leg. He fell off a ladder about 4 ft up. He was still limping around on it that night and didn’t think it was broken. He’s off work for 3 months, but obviously not how he had hoped to spend his time off.
3. Here’s a few photos from 2 mini shoots I did at Blandford:
And a few other photos from the trip:

4. Last Saturday we had the biggest name yet play a concert in our fair city, Paul McCartney. Because of the number of good concerts we didn’t have tickets for this one either, but we and 1000s of others flocked to the center of the city to catch a glimpse all the same. They closed down one of the streets bordering the outdoor venue because there were so many people. We couldn’t see much between the fences and the trees but I caught a glimpse of a tiny brightly lit person at one point, and they had 2 giant video screens on either side of the stage which even we on the street could find an angle to see. We took the baby and DH’s friend with us. The baby hadn’t had a nap since 1 o’clock, and conked out around 11pm oblivious to the excitement around him.
I had been planning on going downtown and catching the concert as soon as possible but DH asked if we could stop at his grandparents and offer them some of our fish (we had 40 or so). When we got there they were out by the pool with some other grandkids. Nanna dipped baby’s toes in the water and he seemed to love it. We decided we’d go home, unpack the cooler and gather our things, and go swimming. It was a good day for it. It just seemed like this would probably be more fun than what I had planned, and that maybe God had something to do with our change of plans lol.
We also had to drive around to give the rest of the fish to 2 of DH’s other friends. By the time we got back it had cooled off some, so I stayed out of the water snapping pictures while DH took baby in. DH needs a bit of practice, he was dipping a bit lower than he should have from time to time and baby would get a mouthful of water. He was always unimpressed with this, but took it pretty well. He was in the pool for at least an hour straight. We also took the opportunity to test out his life jacket, it keeps him afloat but leaning backwards so he still gets water in his mouth. But he was happy to float about when DH held onto his feet to keep him upright.
Later on after DH wanted a break I went in for a little while, and let him take some photos while I played with baby. He’s so much lighter when he’s in the water!
6. I have been dealing with a nasty cold the last couple of days. Thurs night was the worst, I got about 4 hours of sleep. I really need to be more careful not to get sick when I’m pregnant. My immune system is down as a result, but it’s normally so good and I hardly ever get sick that I take it for granted.
7. We’re heading out for a 3 day trip to Cape Breton. Normally we would be camping but with DFIL’s leg we will be staying in cottages and motels. It’s a bit more expensive but since we’re not paying for the apartment anymore it shouldn’t be a problem.
