June 8

This is a rough idea of what I pray each morning to start my day:

When I first wake up:
Good Morning, Lord. (Daddy!) Thank You for a good nights sleep (or ‘that we got to sleep in’, or ‘for the sleep that You did give…’) and for the gift of this day, with all it’s blessings and opportunities and struggles, ordained for my salvation. I offer my day- all my labors, prayers, joys, failures, disappointments, struggles and sufferings- for the reparation of sin and the salvation of souls, especially those so dear to me. Lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil. Lord, I surrender my entire life to You (from Miracle Hour) …. In sickness and in health, in life and in death, I belong to You.

After at least mentally getting up, ideally kneeling by the bed:

Lord, I give up my place of authority over my life today, and I give it to You. (I know You only want the very best for me. I trust Your plans for my day…) I give up my authority over my husband’s life, and over the lives of my children. It’s not my job to change them, You’re in charge, and I trust You. All is grace. Holy Spirit, come and take control of my mind and transform my thoughts today, to keep me close to You. Help me not to reject anything You choose to give today, or to try to take control of my time or other people, help me to receive every moment, as You give it, whatever happens, with You by my side, trusting You to work it out, and whispering only ‘thanks’.

HS come! I am weak, that’s why I need Your help!

Oh Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore You. Lead and guide me this day, strengthen and console me. Tell me what I should do, give me Your orders. Show me, who is my daily appointment today. I give You full permission to speak through me today, or to stop me from speaking, and promise to submit myself to everything You ask of me, and everything You permit to happen to me, let me know only Your will.
